Moms,
The New Year has arrived quietly but decisively—carried in cold air, early morning walks, and the familiar promise that this time will be different. And it can be, if we allow it.
There is something undeniably powerful about starting over. Not because everything is new, but because we are. Yet even in moments of renewal, we tell ourselves a familiar story: there isn’t enough time. Too many responsibilities. Too many reasons to wait.
But here is the truth I want us to hold together this year:
Time is not lacking. Permission is.
Our setbacks are real. Our fears are understandable. But they are no longer allowed to lead.
As I began planning experiences I’ve quietly longed for—places to see, versions of myself to meet—I noticed how quickly doubt arrived. The what-ifs. The imagined obstacles. The instinct to retreat into comfort and caution. And I had to ask myself: Who taught me to protect myself from joy? Whose fears did I inherit?
I decided I am no longer interested in a small life.
No one in my family has taken long flights. No one before me chose the uncertain path of faith, planning, and perseverance without guaranteed support. And still, I am choosing it. Because bravery doesn’t require precedent—it requires conviction.
This letter is my way of extending that conviction to you.
No one will push for the life you want more fiercely than you will. Encouragement is lovely, but action is transformative. So this year, I invite you to move—not recklessly, but boldly.
Set the tone now. Be willing to surprise yourself.
If money feels tight, create instead. If rest feels elusive, express yourself anyway. If you feel unseen, begin by seeing yourself—dancing before work, dining alone beautifully, raising your hand when opportunity calls. Let boldness become your signature.
Start small. Choose a mini adventure—one day, one afternoon, one decision that belongs solely to you. Then choose something bigger. A commitment. A journey. A cause. A place your eyes have not yet known.
Travel, after all, is not only about distance. It is about identity. About becoming a woman who trusts herself in motion.
As we move through 2026 together, may you go places that strengthen your voice, stretch your confidence, and deepen your love for the woman you keep unraveling. And when challenges appear—as they always do—stand tall and walk directly through them.
A Gentle Assignment (Begin Here)
• Choose a beautiful journal. One that feels special. Name it Travel. Discover. Explore.
• Commit to it weekly. Pencil to paper. No editing. No perfection. Just truth.
• Review it daily. Even for a minute. Let your desires stay visible.
• Write yourself in as the priority. Not last. Not “someday.” Now.
• Pin what moves you on Pinterest. Save what feels like recognition, not noise.
• Follow your inspirations. The women, places, and ideas that expand you.
• Then go. Small steps. Real movement. Consistent courage.
Simple. Intentional. Yours.
This is your invitation.
We are not waiting.
We are moving.
With intention,
The Travel Editor
